A bit about me
I’m Ash, and I’ve been writing and editing since I could hold a pen. I got started as my older sister’s essay editor, and quickly followed my passion for words to earn a PhD in English from the University of Florida in 2018.
At UF, I served as the managing editor and reviews editor for the academic journal ImageText. I also created and launched the comics-as-scholarship journal Sequentials, contributing to the university’s Trace Innovation Initiative. It was here that I learned how to think outside the box and combine the magic of words with the vibrancy of images to create something special.
I spent some years teaching literature, writing, and visual culture at the college level before switching gears to join an editorial team at a Boston-based content agency. I served as the editorial director, leading a team of nearly two dozen editors and managing more than 30 content programs for global clients.
Today, I have the privilege of working with clients across the world to create compelling, creative work that makes an impact.
